Voicemail
Listen to messages, read transcripts, and choose who gets notified.
When a line isn't answered, the caller can leave a message. Each message shows up here with a written transcript, so you can often deal with it without listening.
Sidebar → Voicemail. The badge beside it counts the messages nobody has listened to yet.

Listen to a message
A transcript can't be made for very short or silent messages. Those say no transcription is available.
Sort and tidy
Use the Status filter to show All, New, Listened or Archived messages. Select a column heading to sort by it.
Each row has three actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mark as new or Mark as listened | Flips the message's status, so you can leave one for a colleague to deal with. |
| Archive | Moves the message out of the main list. Find it again with the Archived filter. |
| Delete | Removes the message. You'll be asked to confirm. |
Deleting a message removes it from the desk phones in your shop as well, and it cannot be undone. Archive it instead if you only want it out of the way.
Change voicemail settings
The bar above the list shows the settings for the mailbox you're looking at. Select the pencil to change them.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Greeting | The phrase callers hear before the beep. Create it under Phrases. |
| Ring time | How long the phone rings before voicemail picks up. Thirty seconds is about six rings. |
| Notify | Who gets an email when a new message arrives. Choose team members, or type any other email address — a shop address or a personal one works. |
New messages take a few minutes to appear. Select Refresh to check now.
